This just started.  From within Word when I open a
document I see the original document but with like
formatting instructions and not formatted properly.  If I
click on the document from explorer the document comes up
formatted properly and without the 'formatting
instructions.'
Any suggestions?

On the File > Open dialog change the 'Open Files of Type' selection from
'Retrieve Text from any document' back to 'Word document'
