For some reason the page numbering (page x of y) has recently stopped working properly.
It shows up correctly on the screen, and in the print preview, however when printed it reads, "page 1 of 1", "page 2 of 2", "page 3 of 3", etc.

I found the "page X of Y.html" reply to a previous request, and tried all the suggestions to no avail.  I am running Office XP on Windows XP and have all the latest updates.  It may that this has been happening since the last update
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The resurfacing of this problem as a result of the latest update is a known
issue, but one of the techniques suggested in the article should work for
you. Have you tried reversing the print order?

Yes, I tried all the applicable suggestions, but it is still doing the same thing.  I also noticed that the "next page/previous page" button on the Header/Footer bar doesn't work, either.  Is this part of the problem?
Thanks for any assistance.

Do you have any Continuous sections in the middle of the page? Often that's
where the problem lies.

No, there are no sections, but...Guess what! The page numbers are printing correctly now, however, the button for previous/next footer still doesn't work.  The only thing that I've done since, is that I updated my Norton systemworks, and ran the checks and optimized.  Is it possible there is any relation to that?

If there is only one section, then of course the Next and Previous buttons
don't work. Since you didn't quote any of the previous thread, I obviously
got your problem mixed up with someone else's.
