Is there a way to stop a table breaking across columns?

I have a page which is set-up to have three columns.  I wish to insert a
series of five row tables, but to stop a table breaking across a column,
i.e. say two lines at the bottom of one column and the other three at the
top of the next?

You can clear the check box for "Allow row to break across pages," which
affects text within a row. If by "lines" you mean "rows," then format the
first four rows of each table as "Keep with next."
