MS Office Forum / Word / Page Layout / January 2004Templates change all formating when opened
I can open a template in Citrix using word and the template is correct. However if I move that template to my local drive and try to open or try to open it from where it is stored. I looks ok for a minute then the whole format changes. I am working with Office 2003. Can you expand on "the whole format changes"? Do you mean the font changes? The layout changes? If the same fonts are not available then it will substitute fonts accordingly. Additionally, are you viewing the document in the same Zoom setting? If it is a Word template, it cannot be saved as a Word document. If it is a document, it can be saved as a document or as a template (or .rtf ...). If it is a document, I suspect that under Tools => Templates and Add-Ins you will find the box checked to update styles from the template.
