I have a two (three) page 2k3 document that ends with a second break at the
bottom of page 2. This leaves a blank third page in the document that I
would like to eliminate. If I delete the section break the formatting of
the bottom 1/3 of page two goes kerflooey. How can I make the blank page
three go away?

If the section break is (or has become) "New page," change it to Continuous
(Layout tab of Page Setup).

Put your cursor at the bottom of your document as far
down as it will go. Then press the delete key until the
cursor meets the last line of text. that will eliminate
any and all extra pages.

This was not working in this particular case. As it turns out I had to
change the section break from "Odd Page" to "Continuous" and delete a footer
that had inserted itself at the bottom of the blank page.
