i would like the corner marks (text boundaries) to appear, but i don't want the dashed borders that accompany them. i've had them once, but after re-installing word they went away. so i went to tools...options...text boundaries now they're back but there are dashed lines around the page connecting them now. is it possible to have one without the other?

Hi Brian,

Under Start/Programs/Microsoft Office/Office Tools/Language Settings
enable a Far East/Asian language.

btw, typically we encounter those who want to turn them off. I think
you're the first who wants them turned on. <grin>

Hi Brianne,

Chinese (Simplified) does it for me in Word 2002 and Word 2003. Did
you try it?

Also, you need to turn off the Text Boundaries or you will still see
the dashed line around the page.

Nah, you're not an oddball - it's interesting to find someone that
likes them. ;-)
