Hi,

I'm using Word 2000, and I have two linked text boxes. I find that if I have
a table as part of the content of the text box, then it doesn't flow
properly from one text box to the next (rather than being moved wholesale to
the next text box, it gets clipped). To be fair, the help file does hint at
this behaviour.

Does anyone know of a work-around? How can I make the table act more like an
indivisible object, so that it goes into the second text box as soon as it
gets pushed out of the first text box?

Failing that, does anyone know how to detect when this has happened, so that
I can do something in VBA to push the table onto the next text box (perhaps
by inserting paragraphs before it)?

Hi Gary,

Perhaps someone will post a macro to push the whole table to the next text
box if it doesn't completely fit in the first text box.
But perhaps it might be better and simpler to fit as many rows as possible
in the first box, and then continue in the second box?

Maybe you could split the table after each row, and format the paragraph
marks between rows (= tables) as "hidden".
That should allow them to "flow" into the second text box.

Thanks, Klaus - that's an interesting idea, but for my purposes I need the
whole table to be treated as as an indivisible object that's either on one
page or the other :-(

What happens if you select all rows but the last and format them as "Keep
with next"?
