Hi. I hope someone can help. I send out a newsletter done with Word, using an Office template, then use a mail merge. It has worked fine for a year now. However, on my most recent newsletter, some people got a nice clean copy, while others got a reviewers copy, all marked up and otherwise a mess. Any suiggestions?
It sounds as if you had been tracking changes and had not accepted them.
Recipients who have the option to "Make hidden markup visible when opening
or saving" enabled (Tools | Options | Security) will see your markup. Note
that when you are tracking changes, it does not suffice to turn Track
Changes. This merely hides the markup; to remove it, you must accept the
changes.

Thanks for your response. Forgive me, but how do I accept the changes?

You don't say what version of Word you have, but in any case I can speak
only to Word 2002/2003. In those versions, display the Reviewing toolbar,
click the arrow beside the Accept Change button, and choose "Accept All
Changes in Document."
