I must have entered some funny keystroke combination and
done something strange to Word XP.

I work in Print View. All of a sudden my new blank pages
come up with the cursor flashing right at the top of the
page and it won't show any top and bottom margins - the
text just flows over the page breaks.

I look at the page layout and the margins are there. I
have managed to rescue the layout I want from another
document and saved it replacing template Normal.dot, but
it still does it.

By a strange quirk, if the first thing i do with a new
document is View Headers and Footers, as soon as I come
out of that my page is back to normal.

What is going on? Any ideas and help appreciated...

Cheers

Mark

Tools > Options > View, check "White space between pages".

Aternatively, put the cursor iin the thin grey space between the ruler and
the top of the page, so the cursor changes to two boxes containing arrows
and the tooltip says "Show White Space", and then click there. (This is how
you got the option set in the first place.)
