Opening Word Documents from Outlook 2003

Whenever I open a MS Word attachment in Outlook 2003, the attachment comes
up in a weird view. I have to click on view ? normal. If I detach the
document and open it in Word, it opens with the "normal" view. Is their
away to have Outlook automatically open my Word documents with the view ?
normal option?

Hi Jeff

I think by "weird view" you mean Reading Layout? You can get rid of it by
pressing Escape.

To tell Word not to open in Reading Layout, do Tools > Options > General,
and un-tick "Allow starting in Reading Layout".
