I'm having a problem that is driving me nuts. In Preview mode, the footer
looks correct, in page layout mode the footer looks correct. I come
actually print the document and my footer is about 2 - 3" higher up in the
middle of the page?? I've checked my margin settings, I've checked the
"from edge" settings (all are good)! The document was originally created in
Word 2000 and I'm now using Word 2003.
If I create a new blank document my footers work perfectly and print
correctly!! Is there some major footer conversion problem in MS Word from
2000 to 2003 versions?
Any suggestions, what the hell is going on? Am I going insane?
Thanks, Rob.
Solved my problem sorta -- it appears to be either a "bug" or "feature" that
relates to using Comments. I have many inserted comments, once I deleted
all my inserted comments the Footer behaved as expected and output was
correct on the printer.

Hi Rob
It's caused by Word leaving space for comment and revision 'balloons'. If
you change the options (to not use balloons) or the print (don't print 'mark
up') you should be able to keep the comments in the file without the shrink
on print.
