I have Word 2003. How do I unset the default printer so I can print an
envelop on another printer. Evidently the only choice is the default
printer. I would prefer to not have a default, but rather have the system
always ask which printer to use. Is the only choice going to setup and
changing the default in Windows? This seems very cumbersome!
You can change the active printer in Word from the print dialog, but there
is no easy way to associate printers with documents. See
http://www.gmayor.com/fax_from_word.htm for a possible workaround - however
if this is only required for envelopes, I would suggest using an envelope
template - there is one on my web site that you can download - and add a
button to a custom toolbar *in that template* with a print macro using code
similar to that described.
