Is there a way to have a header repeat on each page and
not be included in the TOC over and over?

Thanks, Claudine

I think you are confusing headers and headings. A header by default repeats
on each page and is never included in the TOC. If you want text from a
heading to appear in the header, you can pick it up with a StyleRef field.

You're right, I said that wrong.  I mean a heading, not a
header.  I want the heading to repeat at the top of the
page (not a header) but I don't want it included in the
TOC over and over.
