Is there a way to set a template properties so that when
a user opens it, they can only "Save as", and not "Save".
Seems like everytime I set one up, someone opens the
template and saves it as a new .dot with new data. Thanks
in advance.

The best thing would be to educate the users to use File>New and select the
template.  Another thing that you could to do is set the Read Only attribute
for the templates

Users should not be *opening* the templates. They should be saved in a
template folder, and users should be using File | New to create new
documents based on the templates.
