i used to have options on the insert auto text drop down
list but know its just blank what should i do to get the
options to appear again. I tried to re-install word but it
didn't work so i tried to install the whole office XP but
still it didn't work. Anymore suggestions???

Did you save a document as normal.dot?
You can get the defaults back by renaming normal.dot and letting Word build
a new one.

If your cursor is not in a paragraph that uses the Header or Footer style,
entries may not show up. This often occurs when content was pasted into your
header or footer.
