Word 97 - spell check and word wrapping

I am having problems with word 97, it is not spell
checking the document, all the settings are set
correctly. Also it will not word wrap. Any ideas?

Hmmm, given the problem with word wrap - and assuming
you're in the Page Layout View - I'm guessing it's a
problem with the font applied to the text.

As a test: If you Ctrl+A to select the text, and then apply
"Time New Roman" as the font, do things work differently?
