To All,

This may not be the correct forum in which to ask this question, but
hopefully this will serve as a good starting point. I am currently
working in Lotus Domino, and when I access a Word document in one of
the cabinets, it appears to be pulling it up within the Internet
Explorer web browser. So far, so good, however, the file menu
(File/Edit/View/Insert/etc.) toolbar is not displayed. I've tried the
standard keyboard shortcuts but they don't appear to be active, with
the exception of the usual print shortcut (CTRL+P).

Although this is within the Domino environment, I don't believe that's
the issue. Maybe it's an IE issue, but I still would have thought that
Word functionality would still apply here. Does anyone know what key
sequence I can use to restore the menu tool bar?

Thanks,

John

Hi John

The following may help:

How do I control how a Word document opens from the internet or an intranet?

However, I'm not sure how the Domino environment affects this behaviour.

Hope this helps.

Shauna,

What helped here was being able to deselect the "Confirm open after
download" option. This allows me to save the document, then open it
directly in Word. I used to be able to do that -- and prefer to do
that -- but somewhere along the way I chose something that made it
automatically open in IE. As far as I'm concerned, my problem is
solved.

Thanks a million,

John
