How do I protect a section break so that my header doesn't change if someone
accidentially deletes it?  Word 2002

I have two different headers (first page & subsequent pages), but I loss the
first one if the section break is deleted.

The only possibility is to protect the document as a form. You'd need to insert
an additional (continuous) section break, immediately adjacent to the existing
one. Then set this second section to be protected and leave the others
unprotected. (Tools/Protect Document. "Forms". Sections.)
