I have a long document, with a footer Page X of Y whihc
in single spaced paragraphs correctly displays and prints
Page 1,2 etc of 10.

However I have changed line spacing of all pages, except
1st pages, to a line spacing of 1.5 lines.  On the 'Print
View' it incorrecly displays the pages, apparently losing
text at the bottom of the page - but if you cross the
page boundary with the cursor it correctly repaginates,
but now with incorrect page number displayed (shows page
as if single spaced).  It prints but displays Total pages
as 10 (ie what it is in single spaced lines) and not 13
which is the correct total pages, and when it prints you
get "Page 13 of 10"!

I am using Word version 2002 (10.4524.4219) SP-2.

Is this a reported bug with a fix?

Although there are down sides, sometimes Word works better with Exact
spacing rather than Multiple. Instead of 1.5 line spacing, try Exactly 18
pts (or whatever is appropriate for your font size).

>Thank you for the advice.  Unfortunately your suggestion
does not resolve the problem.  Page preview is incorrect,
losing text at the bottom of the page.  It prints all the
text, but with the 'Page 13 of 10' still remaining

If you're losing text at the bottom of a page, then the problem is most
likely in the printer driver. If this is an HP printer, try one of the
"margin fix" drivers from
