Open the document, Edit, select all, change the font size from the drop down font
dialog. Re-save...

Eureka! It worked--Thank you Mary!!! You would think that your answer would
be in the Help menu--but I sure couldn't find it--thanks again!

Well, Format | Font is a pretty simple concept. It works the same way
whether the document is saved or not.
