Hello,

I have placed a picture along the left side of a word document.  Everything
works great until I go to the second page.  When the text goes to the second
page the picture dropps down to the second page also.

How do I make the picture stay on page one (no matter what) and locked in
the place I want it at (no matter what)?

The text must stay on the right side of the picture.

Thanks,

Chuck

In File > Page Setup > Layout, check "Different first page". Then open
the first page header (which is now different from the headers on all
other pages) and insert the picture. Use the Text Wrapping button on
the Picture toolbar to make the wrapping Square. Then drag the picture
to the place you want it (it can be outside the regular header area).
Close the header, and start entering your text.

See http://home.earthlink.net/~wordfaqs/Letterhead.htm for more
information about setups like this.
