I was wondering if word is capable of putting the current 'Heading 2' in the
Even header postion.  I figured out how to separate the headers on even and
odd pages. So, I can add text and have the header dynamically change based
on teh current 'Heading 2' field.

Use a StyleRef field. In the header, click Insert > Field. Select
StyleRef from the field names list, then select "Heading 2" in the
field properties list.
