I have a client with Word 2003. She is trying to email a document that is
confidential. It has a confidential watermark. However the clients she is
sending it to has reading layout as their default, so they are not seeing the
watermark. Is there a way to force a document in print layout? Or does the
settings have to be changed on each machine?

Thanks,
Carla

Unfortunately, "Allow starting in Reading Layout" is a local setting. You
could add a macro to force the view in which the document opens, but the
macro would be disabled if the recipient's Security is set to High, and even
if it is set to Medium, chances are the recipient would choose not to enable
an unknown macro.
