I've been using Word since version 97 and until 2003, when I did a page
setup, there was an option for footer margins. For example, I could set my
bottom page margin to .5" and my footer margin to .25". I don't see that same
setup in 2003.
I've set my bottom margin to .5" and when I added a footer, it sat on the
.5" line. I reset my bottom margin to .25" which shows on the page layout,
however, the footer is still still in the same place.
Can I set my footer margin separate from the document margin as in older
versions of Word? If so, how?

Please disregard this issue. I found out how to change the footer margin by
hitting the "Layout" tab.
As the saying goes..."never mind" but thanks anyway!! : )

It is a total mystery to me why header and footer margins were moved from
the Margins tab to the Layout tab in Word 2002, but I suspect it was because
a lot of the other settings that pertain to headers and footers are there.
But it *is* confusing and unintuitive.
