When opening "page setup" in word file, always locks up

After re-installing Word on a new computer, and installing all updates,
whenever I open "page setup" it very slowly brings up the box, but then locks
up.

It sounds like a template or settings corruption issue. Take a look here:

Thanks for the response. I tried everthing on the document (and all links
from that document), and that didin't do it. Any other ideas?

Does the problem happen in Safe Mode? To start Word in Safe Mode, hold Ctrl
when starting Word, and keep it pressed until Word appears on the task bar.
Click Yes to the prompt. Once up, try in Safe Mode. Does the same thing
still happen?

If it still happens in Safe mode, then you should try Help - Detect and
Repair.

Problems with Page Setup, Font, Style, Symbol, and other dialogs that
require interrogating the printer driver often indicate a damaged driver.
Try deleting and reinstalling the printer.
