I have word 97 on my computer and I am trying to open a document from my "a"
drive. It shows it as a TMP file and I also see that its a Word 9.0 document.
When I try to open it up in Word97 its just shows lots of squares.
Any ideas??

Don't ever try to open a document directly from a floppy disk. Instead, copy
it to your HD and open it from there.
