How can I change the default settings on my page layout?  When i open a new
document, the margins are all out of whack, but when i go to page setup it
looks like the margins are all ok: top and bottom are 1 inch, left and right
are 1.25 inches and gutter is 1.1 inch on the left ( i dont know what the
gutter is...this may be the problem)

Word 2002 or 2003? Problem is top and bottom margins displayed in print view
but it prints OK?
If so, see See: http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm.
