How do I get path/filename to auto update in footers in Word?

I want the footer to list the path and file name, but I want to set it so
that if I move the document to a new "path" or change the file name, the
footer will automatically update with the new information.  Is it possible to
do this, or am I out of luck?

There are no settings for this. It takes a macro.

change it if you move the file from outside Word. Note, though, that a Print
Preview will usually update footer fields.
