I was wondering if if is possible to turn a Word document 90 degrees so that
it sits long/horizontally across the screen with the words also going across
in the same direction.

File | Page Setup. On the Margins tab in Word 2002 or 2003 (Paper Size tab
in previous versions), check the box for Landscape.
