I've been trying to change the order all morning of the document that I have.
It has 50 pages and I want to place the document in order, but I'm
unsuccessful. Any suggestions?

The thumbnails view in Word is not for reorganizing a document but for
navigating it. It isn't like the slide view in PowerPoint. Try using the
document map view instead.
