How do I delete a header?

Somehow I got a HUGE header inserted into a simple document and I can't GET
RID OF IT!!!!!  I have tried everything!  Help!  I am using Office 2000.  I
am a teacher and this is driving me crazy!

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, change the vertical alignment from Center
to Top.

One possibility is that you may have unnecessary carriage returns in your
header.  Click on the Show/Hide button or click Ctrl + * (asterik on an
American keyboard is Shift + 8) to reveal the carriage returns.  Delete the
unneeded carriage returns.

If this is not the case, check File > Page Setup and see what your top
margin and header settings are.  Reduce as needed.
