I am creating a letterhead where the board of directors is listed down the
left side. Therefor, I want the first page to have this list on the left side
but not the rest of the pages. I also want to keep this locked so people
can't meddle with it. What I really want to do is have this in the header and
have a different left margin on the first page. What should I do?

For the letterhead layout, see the "More complex letterhead" part of
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm.

Because all the elements of the letterhead go into the first-page
header, they're pretty much out of the way of mistaken deletions and
the like. If you really want to lock it down, that's a lot more
difficult because Word is oriented toward changing things, not toward
*not* changing things. You could look at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ProtectWord2000PlusHeader.htm.
