I know how to use the Word page numbering tools but I need the page number to
be ii, iii, iv, etc and NOT ii., iii., iv., etc. The period is my problem.

Any help here?

Given that i., ii., iii.... is not one of the options in the Format Page
Number dialog, I would guess that the period has been manually added after
the PAGE field.
