I have successfully printed several booklets in Word 2002 on XP Pro with HP1160 duplex printer. All of a sudden it no longer works. Just prints one blank page. Every thing is set up as before (I hope) with booklet fold, etc. and still no luck. I have a quick deadline and switched to Lotus WordPro that prints fine except for the minor detail of leaving off half the footnotes, and tried Pagemaker until I discovered it can't even do footnotes (all become endnotes which won't work in my document). I've read several FAQ's from a search on booklets, and most tell how to workaround this in 2000. But 2002 is SUPPOSED to do this. I'm about out of time and luck. Any suggestions for getting this booklet printing to actually work? After some brief experimentation with "Book fold" in Word 2002 (my primary problem was with reprinting specific corrected pages), I gave up and went back to the Word 97 method in http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/BookletPrinting.htm, which works dependably in all versions. You might also want to try the Word 2000 method or macro. -- Suzanne S. Does anyone know of the booklet printing in Word 2003 actually works? |
