A few years ago I printed a long Word 97 document to Adobe Acrobat 5, and
was able to create links in the pdf from the table of contents in my
document to the appropriate pages in the pdf.
I thought I was very clever at the time, but needless to say, I have now
completely forgotten how I did it.
We now have Acrobat 6 at our office, and I can't seem to find the bit that
tells it to print the TOC.
Can anyone set me in the right direction or supply links to tutorial pages?

It turns out with Acrobat 6 there are preferences in a dropdown box in Word
itself, not in Acrobat or Distiller, and  a cute little button you push-
then it all happens.
Had I not already sent this query to the group, I would again think myself
clever for accidentally working it out- but under the circumstances- please
accept my apologies with a loud Homer Simpsonlike DOH!

Thanks for posting this. I have Acrobat 6 (first version I've had), and I
find it quite baffling and very poorly documented. I haven't yet had to
create a PDF with a TOC, but I've been wondering how one did this.
