The font pulldown shows all of the available fonts. But
there is a line at or near the top. Above the line there
is a list of any font that I have ever selected (
historical-any document). I don't like an ever increasing
list. HOw do I eliminate the list or delete a font from
the list?

Take a look at this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318796&Product=wd2002

and scroll down to the section about NoFontMRUList.

I am much obliged for your response to my question about
XP Word font pulldown. But I am not able to follow the
instructions.
I downloaded the Word 2000 Support Template. Pulling it
up I get something very much like a Word document except
that I can go to the 3 options there - one being Registry
Options. Clicking on the square I get something but it is
not like the list that your reference talked about. Maybe
you can tell me how I can get to the list or what I am
doing wrong.
Its a small problem but one that bugs me that I can't
figure out how to control the font list.  Thanks
again             Jim
