I have a word form which i use as a template for uses to
fill the fields in. Everything works fine but in win2000
machine it prints the field codes insteat of the values
and in XP it prints fine w values.

Field codes is unchecked in the tools--options--print
Hidden text is unchecked in the tools--options--print
Print data only for forms is unchecked in the tools--
options--print

any suggestions

When you view the document (in print view) on the computer where the field
codes are being printed, do you see them? If so, Alt-F9.

Actually this word form is been called via COM object and
fields are populated and then send it to printer. I don't
know how can i preview it in a preview pane from the
backend. when i preview the form then i see the fields,
which i think i am suppose to see that way as it is a form

Did i confuse you....

Try another document with fields on that computer. This is an
application-wide setting (sort of). Do this with only the one document open.
Insert a field if necessary. If you see the field codes, press Alt-F9.
