Modify the default font: On the Format menu, click Font. In the dialog
box, choose the desired font and size. Click the Default button.
Confirm that you want to perform the change. Later, if you are
prompted to save your template, click OK.

Stefan, thanks for your reply. As I mentioned in my previous posting I have
tried changing the default font to the Sanskrit however after setting it as
the default the result was still the same. The font reverts back to Times
Roman. I also set up macro to Sanskrit font and again when I start typing the
reversion back to Times Roman occurs.

Trash your old font(s) and use the Devanagari Unicode fonts that
come with Windows 2000 and MS Office 2003:
