My company just provided a new Dell Inspiron 5100 with
office XP. All applications except Word have the normal
font list. Word only shows three, "Device Font 1ocpi,
12cpi, 17cpi". If I manually type in the name of the font
I want, it does show up in the document, just the list
under Format, Font still only shows the three.

How do I get all the fonts back in MS Word?

Please help.

Install a printer that can print TrueType fonts. Almost all recent
printing devices can. The exceptions are Plotters, the Generic/text only
driver, and certain ink-jets when set to low resolution.

Even if there is no printer attached to the computer, install a printer
driver. For this purpose, one of the
HP LaserJets is a good choice.
