Word 2000 doesn't work with Windows XP

I just installed Windows XP.  I have Microsoft Word
2000.  I tried to print an envelope and the characters it
printed were not the address I wanted it to print.

A similar thing also happened when I tried to print out a
spreadsheet in Excel.  It printed out gobble de gook
characters.  However, when I imported the spreadsheet to
Word, it printed it out just fine.

Does anyone know what I can do to make these programs
work with XP?

Thanks.

Ellen

Hi Ellen,

Word 2000 most certainly does work with Windows XP.  Your problem maybe with
the printer driver.  You may need to update it to one that works with XP.
The reason that the spreadsheet printed OK after importing it into Word
would be that it was then treated as a picture, not text.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
