Dear All,

I'm trying to create a VB6 addin (COM) that will create a custom
command bar (could be a menu bar) that when a button is clicked on the
custom bar a new document will open.

The problem I am having is that when the new document opens (in a new
window) the custom command bar is visible but none of the buttons
work!  I have put the code in vba into the normal.dot and it works
fine.

Please could someone help me or put me in the correct direction.

Many thanks

Hi

Some questions:

1. Where is the command bar saved? Is it in a template? Are you creating it
in code, and if so, can you show us the code?

2. Is this a Word COM add-in, or is it a DLL that is not a COM add-in. If
the latter, then how are you getting Word to talk to it? Can you show us the
code?

3. Can you show us the line of code that you run to create the new document?

4. What version of Word are you using?
