Can you recommend a good book on Word programming? I'm going to be
controlling Word from the 'outside' so to speak. I'll be writing VB6 client
code to control one or more instances of Word as automation servers. (VBA
control of Word from the 'inside' is not important for my needs at the
present time.)

Thanks for your advice!

See http://www.standards.com/index.html?WordVBABooks.

Since you know VB6, start with Steve Roman's Writing Word Macros
