Office always "prepares to install" when you start program

Office always "prepares to install" when you start program

Each time you launch Word or Excel it "starts install
Wizard" then "please wait while configures Office 2000".
But it never needs the CD and then just opens up. Really
just an annoyance because it happens fast. Any ideas
other than reinstalling? When I did the install I did a
full install and selected all components to be run from my
computer. Any thoughts?

Also, Office documents do not show up in his recent
documents folder?

Any chance that Word 97 is also installed and used on this computer? That
will give you this message when you next start Office 2000.
