Hi all,
I am trying to set a network path as a trusted location for Word 2007, in
the Trust Center Settings. I have selected 'Allow Trusted Locations on my
network'. After either selecting 'Add new location' or 'Modify' a current
location, and selecting the network path, the following message appears: "The
path you have entered cannot be used as a Trusted Location for security
reasons. ..."

I have already tried several suggestions in this community, like selecting
the network path in the Internet Explorer as Local Intranet. But it still
doesn't work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Set the Work Group Templates path to the desired network location by
selecting Options from the Tools menu and then going to the File locations
tab.

Thanks, Doug, I know that works (also in Word 2007), but I was trying to save
my templates as 'trusted' in my own (network-)area (instead of Microsoft's or
any other local area). Now, the only way to select these templates from the
network is from >Office >New >My templates (and I'm seeing the 'old' user
interface, where the new look would be preferable ;-).

Any more suggestions?
Thanks!

The Workgroup Templates Folder is not Microsoft's.  It can be anywhere that
you want it to be - your own (network) area included.
