I recently had to reinstall my operating system, and I
installed microsoft word 2000 but when I double click the
word icon a message box comes up saying PLEASE ENTER YOUR
CUSTOMER INFORMATION. It asks for my name, organization,
etc. Then they ask me for a 25-character CD key that
should be located on a yellow sticker on the back of a CD
jewel case. I don't have the CD jewel case. I can't use
WORD unless i type in the 25 characters. If anyone can
tell me how to obtain this please let me know. Thanks so
much!

Hi Nathaniel,
If you have a boxed retail copy of Microsoft Word or Office you can use the
phone numbers at http://microsoft.com/worldwide (800-360-7561 in the u.s.)
to get a replacement key.
If it was pre-installed on the PC when it was purchased, it's an oem copy of
the software and you will have to contact the pc supplier for a replacement.
Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.
Hope this helps
