I suppose Word XP is an improvement.  How do I remove the
new "features" like review toolbar, PDF toolbar etc -
permanently?  I tried "Help" for changing the normal
template, but it presented an incomprehensible, circular
loop of technospeak - with no examples etc.

First and foremost check your options, then you?ll know howto.
Next learn more on your installation.

Hi TDKeuper

See http://home.zebra.net/~sbarnhill/CustomizingWord2002.htm
Word 2002: How to "put it back the way it was"-customizing Word 2002 to
work like Word 2000

However, it sounds like you also have some add-ins running in Word. Word
itself does not contain a PDF toolbar and on its own cannot save to PDF.

Hope this helps.
