Any tips for how to install Word 97 when you only have CD
Key number?  Original program installed on old computer
that crashed and is unretrievable.  How to get past all
of the error messages?  Or am I stuck with buying Word
2000?  Sharon52

What, you can't access the registry or don't know about
the key being listed there?

The OP said that they had the Product Key so it was assumed that what they
were missing was the CD itself.  If the assumption was correct the advice
was appropriate.
