Am told not to buy/run "SCSI" for more memory or HD space
for my 32MB RAM 90Mhz laptop, and as Win98SE barely
functions before the sun goes down, unable to afford
anything anyway, and I don't use these two progs, it's got
to help a little to get rid of Excell and Powerpoint as I
never use them and can always reinstall them if ever...

Add/remove doesn't list them, just Office '97. What, the
add/remove remove feature offers choosing what components
can be removed?

After one frees up the space, should one do anything else
like the disk cleanup to get the free HD space either more
available or more re-usable?

Using Office 97 Add/Remove Programs is the method to use.
You won't save a lot of space as there are quite a number
of files that are shared by the Office 97 suite for the
individual applications.

Generally, there isn't anything extra to do as far as
Office is concerned to free up disk space but you may
want to be sure you've cleared out web browser cache
and old *.tmp files on the PC and use the tools in
Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools for cleanup
and defrag.
