I recently upgraded from windows 98 to windows xp.  I'm
trying to reinstall my word 97 and I get the message
(Upgrade Check: setup has searched your hard disk and
cannot find any of the qualifying products listed on the
word 97 box)  How can I fix this problem to install my
Word 97?

Thank You

You have an upgrade rather than a full installation disk.

You need an earlier version of Word (or Word Perfect or some other wp
program). Probably if you have the installation disk for that program you
can use it when Word is searching for a prior program but you may need to
actually install the earlier version.

See the MVP FAQ: <URL: http://www.mvps.org/word/> which is awesome!
