While typing text inside a table cell, how can I type a tab character?
Pressing the tab button moves the cursor to the next table cell.
The only way I know is to copy a tab character from elsewhere and paste it
inside the cell. Is there a quicker way?

Peter, set tabs in table cells just as you do elsewhere -- by selecting
Format > Tabs or simply clicking the ruler. Press Ctrl-TAB while in a table
cell to advance to the next tab stop to the right.
